Direct Steam Injection (DSI) Heaters are unique devices which are ideal for heating water and other liquids by directly injecting steam into the liquid to maintain or raise temperature levels.

steam-injectionSteam Injection Heaters use a special system of perforated injection tubes to force steam into a liquid or slurry to provide almost instantaneous transfer of heat to the liquid. Typical applications include clean-in-place ‘CIP’ Systems, tank cleaning, wastewater treatment, hose stations and similar processes where it is critical to maintain a particular temperature range.  Direct Steam Injection is the most efficient way of heating water as 100% of  the BTUs from the steam are transferred into the water being heated and is not lost as condensate.

Constant-Flow

pick-direct

Two basic designs are available, the first being the constant-flow design satisfies most applications with a specific ‘constant’ flow rate, one that varies over a narrow span (i.e. 3:1 turndown), or where variations in flow are gradual and on/off cycling does not  occur.

Variable-Flow

Applications with varied flow over a wide range are best satisfied with the Variable-Flow design.  It will accommodate wide variations in demand and frequent start/stop requirements such as multiple-use points.

Custom Fabrication & Sanitary Designs

Steam spargers for tank heating, sanitary designs for food and pharmaceutical applications as well as Multi-zone heat/cool skids are frequently supplied with these devices as a system.
